The World Series starts tonight and what could have been, should have been, would have been, is not. But instead it is the Phillies who take on the up and coming Rays in this years fall classic. So the question for Cubs fans is who do you root for, the Phillies? They are a National league team and at least Phillies fans can relate to the Cubs misery a little bit- they haven’t won since 1980 (ok not exactly 1908 but at least it has the same numbers). Then again Chicago fans tend to hate Philadelphia all together.
Or do you root for the Rays- a very young team who hasn’t even been around for ten years provides for a nice little Cinderella story but that ten years probably won’t sit well with Cubs fans and on top of that Florida baseball still isn’t sitting well with me.
Tough call, but I still can’t watch baseball so I don’t have to choose.
